CanSino Biologics Inc. ("CanSinoBIO" or the "Company") has signed a letter of intent (LOI) with AGP Limited in Pakistan to explore potential opportunities related to CanSinoBIO's 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13i) in Pakistan. The signing was witnessed by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during the Pakistan-China Pharmaceutical & Healthcare B2B Investment Conference. The two parties will further explore opportunities to support the future development and accessibility of CanSinoBIO's PCV13i in Pakistan.

Held from July 17 to 18 in Islamabad, the Pakistan-China Pharmaceutical & Healthcare B2B Investment Conference focused on cooperation in pharmaceuticals, healthcare and biotechnology. The conference featured B2B matchmaking sessions and one-on-one meetings between companies from China and Pakistan, providing a platform for enterprises from both countries to explore joint ventures, technology partnerships and long-term industrial collaboration.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the conference provided an important platform for strengthening collaboration between the pharmaceutical industries of Pakistan and China. He noted that partnerships between enterprises in areas including the co-production of medicines, vaccines and other life-saving healthcare products would create new opportunities for investment and industrial cooperation.

Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong reaffirmed China's commitment to strengthening economic and industrial cooperation with Pakistan.

As an important emerging market, Pakistan has been actively promoting vaccine accessibility and strengthening local healthcare manufacturing capabilities. CanSinoBIO has established a foundation for vaccine cooperation with local partners in Pakistan. In March 2021, the first batch of CanSinoBIO's COVID-19 vaccines arrived in Islamabad, Pakistan. In June of the same year, Pakistan's National Institute of Health (NIH) officially launched locally filled vaccines by using CanSinoBIO COVID-19 bulks, marking Pakistan's first achievement in localized COVID-19 vaccine production.

In recent years, CanSinoBIO has continued to advance the internationalization of its innovative vaccine portfolio and explore diversified partnership models tailored to different market needs. The signing of the LOI will further expand the Company's collaboration footprint in South Asia and support improved access to high-quality vaccines to address local disease prevention needs.
